Eyng?

Been doing a lot of reading to fill the void in my time, besides manning the computer, PS2 or otherwise. Been watching a lot of T.V. as well. Can't really escape the charms of just sitting down and looking at a black box for hours with no companion except for the occasional snack or the equally bored sibling. Makes me wish that thr boob tube wasn't invented at all.

But in all fairness, the small screen's showing some pretty interesting shows to keep me from thinking too much by myself nowadays, I think. Remembered accidentally watching "The Gospel of Judas" while looking for something to watch. Very interesting. Actually watched it after the hubub it caused in the media, particularly in print and in the telly. Some critics bashing the recently discovered texts in a deposit box somewhere iin the U.S., while some said that it was something need not be bothered. Now, I'm a Catholic, living with a devout catholic family (well, at least my mother truly is) in a predominantly Catholic community. But me feels that we are hardly affected by these kinds of stirrings. It seems that the media only has the time to dwell on these issues as people are more concerned with more practical events, like the price of gas. "Judas" is a watercooler topic, but with a country like ours who value the things that visibly affect them, this topic may just as well be plain news. For me, it made me think. No, it didn't challenge my faith. But at least it entertained the senses. Now, enough of this seriousness.

Once, when I was a child, I was on the driver's seat, while all the other people where outside taking a break from the travel. Being a child and all that, I played with the hand breaks, eventually setting it loose, thus making the car move forward. Funny thing is that the van was parked near a cliff in Tagtaytay. Sure there was a bamboo pole that acted as a barrier. It can block a van at any given day. Unfortunately, the driver saw the van slowly inching to the edge, prompting him to run to the driver seat and pull up the hand break. Me? I was oblivious to the whole thing, remembered that after that, nothing special really happened. What was surprising is that I still remember that incident. I have a knack for remebering useless memories and frivolous events. Just putting it here in case I forget, which I won't of course.

That's UPLB, very quiet place. I may say goodbye to it, maybe it won't let me. I dunno.

Everybody has talent. Everybody has potential. Only a few realize that they do.
