DV

31 viruses and counting...

It was so really refreshing to get out of the burrow again, to see the light and others of your own species roaming around and doing things to their heart's desires. today's destination was Divisoria. very fascinating place. T'was my 2nd visit there and so far it's been all good. A place were one can get bargains on almost anything, from clothes to food mostly coming from red China. Ironinc that I went home with only 2 bags of goods. Anyways, those weren't for me (at least most of it).

It's not exactly a sort of a tradition. But if you like shopping and have not yet visited the place, its like you never lived your life fully. Stuff sold there are relatively cheap, obviously from the surplus of red China's booming economy. The place has the feel of organized chaos. Para siyang tiyangge (rite ispeling?) na hindi natatapos. The place has been compared to Greenhills, but more cheaper, more dirty, more broken Filipino language. If you don't like long walks, don't go there. If you don't like looking for things that you want, don't go there. If you don't like the broken Filipino of Chinese immigrants or Chinoys or even from the salesladies, don't go there. If you don't like heavy traffic, don't go there. If you don't like shoving and bumping into people without saying sorry, don't go there. If you don't like the sight of kalesas with horses drooling on the pavement, don't go there. These ain't sugar-coated words, but its the truth. If you do manage, the rewards are sort of great.

Halu-halo rin mga tao dun.Almost from all walks of life. May naka Exped pa nga dun eh, kahit na ba mataas ang gasolina. Merong may pera, may mukhang pera, may walang pera. In all fairness, I did see some very stunnning specimens shopping (there was this two sisters who were, like, pretty and I...oh never mind). May magagandang chinese at half-breed, meron namang kamukha ni Lee Kuan Yew o kontrabida sa isang kung-fu flick.

After all the pushing and shoving, all the carrying involved, all the haggling we had to go through, it was all worth it. We got a bargain, the sellers got a sale...

*Phew!This one's kinda long. Happy Holidays...again.
