Just recovering from the holiday trauma. Got so lazy that I've been sleeping irregularly, eating irregularly, and just feeling plain irregular. Sorry if I didn't go out to spend time with the likes of you. I'll make upfor it sooner or later. Just tell.
Some stories to put a dent on your face, or at least make you smile:
I finally felt the Christmas spirit near the day of the Lord's birth. I felt refreshed and relieved and I was finally able to look at the mirror for a long time without feeling weird and ashamed. So, hours before the clock strikes 12, I sent out the same, old, boring greetings to almost everyone in the phonebook, just like any other texter in the pearl of the orient called the Phillipines. Many replied back, which was greatly appreciated. Some didn't, which was understandable because of the rising prices of almost everything except the price of a person's soul. Funny part of the story. I sent greetings to almost everyone, even to those I haven't spoken to in a long time. I get a reply ( exactly 3) like "Hu u?" or "Ikw rin,cno to?" Here's how it went with one of them.
ME: (greeting)
***:Hu u?
ME: Cobi 8)
***:Wala akong kakilalang Cobi...
ME:Kaya nga po nga ako nagsori eh
***:Im stil not convincd, wats ur ril name...?
I didn't know why I bothered replying, but after the last statement, I just stopped and started laughing in my head. I was thinking to myself, "Where is your holiday spirit, man?"Here I am. greeting, then saying sorry, but still you go Grinch, then stalker-like on me? Weiiird...yet amusing. The other one was short but more nasty, last line going something like "kung wala kang magawa sana magpakamatay ka na para merong magpakapi sayo!" Also highly laughable.

Another one. We had our Christmas mass in Alabang where some of our grandparents live ( everybody has more than 2 sets of grandparents, believe me...). Typical to see the church being full and all. But can the church crowd get anymore hotter? So many of the rich and beautiful, all dressed up as if they were going to the club or meet the president in a state visit. If they were to set foot in our parish? They'll get a sermon from the priest for dressing up indecently (that's for the ladies;very conservative parish, we have) And me?I, like everyone else, finished the mass, but not without some wonderful views, of course...
NOW, I'm bored. Gotta lot but that would be for next time. Gives me reason to update.
31 viruses and counting...
It was so really refreshing to get out of the burrow again, to see the light and others of your own species roaming around and doing things to their heart's desires. today's destination was Divisoria. very fascinating place. T'was my 2nd visit there and so far it's been all good. A place were one can get bargains on almost anything, from clothes to food mostly coming from red China. Ironinc that I went home with only 2 bags of goods. Anyways, those weren't for me (at least most of it).
It's not exactly a sort of a tradition. But if you like shopping and have not yet visited the place, its like you never lived your life fully. Stuff sold there are relatively cheap, obviously from the surplus of red China's booming economy. The place has the feel of organized chaos. Para siyang tiyangge (rite ispeling?) na hindi natatapos. The place has been compared to Greenhills, but more cheaper, more dirty, more broken Filipino language. If you don't like long walks, don't go there. If you don't like looking for things that you want, don't go there. If you don't like the broken Filipino of Chinese immigrants or Chinoys or even from the salesladies, don't go there. If you don't like heavy traffic, don't go there. If you don't like shoving and bumping into people without saying sorry, don't go there. If you don't like the sight of kalesas with horses drooling on the pavement, don't go there. These ain't sugar-coated words, but its the truth. If you do manage, the rewards are sort of great.
Halu-halo rin mga tao dun.Almost from all walks of life. May naka Exped pa nga dun eh, kahit na ba mataas ang gasolina. Merong may pera, may mukhang pera, may walang pera. In all fairness, I did see some very stunnning specimens shopping (there was this two sisters who were, like, pretty and I...oh never mind). May magagandang chinese at half-breed, meron namang kamukha ni Lee Kuan Yew o kontrabida sa isang kung-fu flick.
After all the pushing and shoving, all the carrying involved, all the haggling we had to go through, it was all worth it. We got a bargain, the sellers got a sale...
*Phew!This one's kinda long. Happy Holidays...again.
Whew...another break...let's see were this is headed for...
After this entry, I will go to the bathroom, take out the weighing scale and find the tape measure. You know were this is heading...
Gotta love college. If you throw me the question which was better: high school or college?, I would have to say that t'was a very bit a tie, unless something so shameful and embarassing and unnacceptable happens to me in college.dunno...
But I am telling you, it pays to get your education, because it's not what it's really all about. Crap we learn in college is like crap we learn in high school but given a bit of an upgrade, meaning that professors go to the length of making easy lessons frickin' hard. Kaya rin naman silang bolahin tulad nooong hayskul, pero dapat maparaan ka talaga.
December 16 to January 3. Glorious freedom, boring freedom.
Daming virus ng computer.
To be presented soon: A Week in Photos.
Give me a reason to get out of the house and do something productive. Out.
How time flies...
Who would have thought that Christmas is as near as 18 days?
But I don't feel the spirit...
Maybe I'm just too old...
Or maybe something's missing?
Hmmm....
Astig ng Dota no? (1st Filipino line in this blog, BTW)
Habang nagtatatype ako neto, pinapanood ko tong katabi ko maglaro.
Ginagamit niya ngayon si Mogul Kahn. Yung Axe. Wag mo tanungin sakin kung bakit.
Ganon lang talaga yon.
Oh well, I'm just bored.
Gotta go.
And Merry Christmas!In advance!
